I'm working on a Creamy/Candy themed brutal map, supposed to be a unique style.

EDIT: gdin and maple are apparently making a tourney map, it's supposed to be a secret though.

deen don't listen to hi_leute_gll.

We as a community would exclude him, for the things he did....

I really like your idea, but I also have a variation of this which might be interesting.

I have explained it here:

Idk at the moment I'm mapping a dummy map. It will be about 2 stars I guess... Would that be too easy?

I honestly don't like the idea of winning something, since the tournaments are never 100% fair for everyone, so people end up pissed that they lose because of a lag.

My current plan for the next weekend (6. & 7. August) looks like this:

The Brutal Birthday Holiday Weekend
  • Saturday: Until 19:30 long tournament on a nice old Novice or Moderate map, best time wins
  • Saturday: 20:00 quick tournament on Tropical Island by RayB (Brutal 2*, tested by BlaGK, ready)
  • Sunday: Until 19:30 long tournament on a nice old Novice or Moderate map, best time wins
  • Sunday: 20:00 quick tournament on Aviate by SickCunt & [A] Awesome (Brutal, will be tested by Lady Saavik)
So whatever you like, you can participate in one or all, and we end up with 4 winning teams.

Any opinions? Suggestions for the long tournament maps? Should I just take the most popular ones? Which ones would be a good fit for a tournament?

For reference, the most finished Novice and Moderate maps:

Code: Select all

MariaDB [teeworlds]> select record_maps.Map, count(*) from record_race join record_maps on record_race.Map = record_maps.Map where record_maps.Server = "Novice" group by record_maps.Map order by count(*) desc limit 10;

| Multimap | 15190 |

Looks nice idea.

I would choose HookThrough3 and Just2Easy or MonkeyDream

Or Multimap :O
